Kejp Taun
Kejp je susta sujprotnost Johanesburgu; kao da nisu u istoj drzavi. I Cape Town ima siromasne krajeve u koje ne zalaze cak ni lokalci izuzev ako ne zive tamo. Tuda smo prosli samo jednom i to na putu od aerodroma do hotela. Svi ostali delovi izgledaju lepo, cisto, svetski...
Ja se iu Cape Town-u osecam kao kod kuce; neodoljivo me podseca na Wellington (New Zealand) gde sam ziveo 6.5 godina. Grad je u zalivu, u dolini a u zaledju oivicen planinama (koje su dosta vislje u odnosu na brda oko Wellington-a).
Glavna atrakcija je Table Mountain (planina sto) jer je vrh relativno ravan I prvi doseljenici su tako imenovali planinu. Vrh je na oko 1600m i stize se dosta strmom zicarom.
Cape Town
Cape Town is the absolute opposite of Johannesburg as if they are not in the same country. Cape Town also has poor areas that locals avoid unless they live there. We only passed through those areas once, on the way from the airport to the hotel. All the other parts look nice, clean, and cosmopolitan...
I feel at home in Cape Town; it irresistibly reminds me of Wellington (New Zealand) where I lived for 6.5 years. The city is in a bay, in a valley, surrounded by mountains (which are much higher than the hills around Wellington).
The main attraction is Table Mountain because its peak is relatively flat, and the first settlers named it so. The peak is about 1600m, and you reach it via a steep cable car.
Kejptaun je zakonodavna prestonica Južne Afrike. To je najstariji grad u zemlji i sedište Parlamenta Južne Afrike. Kejptaun je drugi najveći grad u zemlji po broju stanovnika, nakon Johanesburga, i najveći grad u Zapadnom Kapskom regionu.

Table Mountain (Planina sto)
Nacionalni park Table Mountain prethodno poznat kao Nacionalni park Cape Poluostrvo, je nacionalni park u Kejp Taunu, proglašen 29. maja 1998. godine, sa ciljem zaštite prirodnog okruženja lanca Table Mountain a posebno retkih fynbos biljaka.
Park je deo UNESCO-ovog Svetskog nasledstva Cape Floral Region.
Park sadrži dve poznate znamenitosti: Table Mountain po kojoj je park dobio ime; i Rt Dobre Nade, najjugozapadnija tačka Afrike.
Table Mountain
Table Mountain National Park, previously known as the Cape Peninsula National Park, is a national park in Cape Town, proclaimed on 29 May 1998, for the purpose of protecting the natural environment of the Table Mountain chain, and in particular the rare fynbos vegetation.
The park is included as part of the UNESCO Cape Floral Region World Heritage Site.
The park contains two well-known landmarks: Table Mountain, for which the park is named; and the Cape of Good Hope, the most southwestern extremity of Africa.
