Egipat sam obisao u vreme kada sam ziveo I radio u Iraku. U to vreme sam koristio priliku da malo putujem po bliskom istoku pa je tako i Egipat dosao na red.
U Egiptu sam proveo nedelju dana ali na zalost, vreme nisam najbolje iskoristio tj nisam obisao vise znamenotosti vec sam se opredelio samo za Kairo i Gizu a ostalo sam ostavio za kasnije. To “kasnije” se jos uvek nije desilo.
Mozda me je malo poremetila i velika guzva, saobracaj i zagadjenost. U svakom slucaju, za Egipat je malo nedelju dana. Za obilazak Egipta je potrebno bar dve nedelje.
I visited Egypt at a time when I was living and working in Iraq. During that time, I took the opportunity to travel a bit around the Middle East, and so Egypt came up next.
I spent a week in Egypt, but unfortunately, I didn't make the best use of my time, meaning I didn't visit many landmarks, but I only focused on Cairo and Giza, leaving the rest for later. That 'later' still hasn't happened.
Maybe I was a little disrupted by the large crowds, traffic and pollution. Anyway, a week is too little for Egypt. At least two weeks are needed to explore Egypt.
Kairo
Kairo je glavni grad Egipta, i jedan od najvećih gradova u Africi.
Egipta I Kaira se secam po 2 stvari: Velika guzva u saobracaju i prasina tj zagadjenost vazduha.
Kairo, Hotel Mariot
Hotel Meriot je bila za mene interesantna destinacija obzirom da je moja firma u to vreme izvodila radove na istom.
Radove sam obisao nesluzbeno, tj turisticki, iz ciste radoznalosti.

Hotel Marriott was an interesting destination for me considering that my company was working on it at that time.
I visited the site unofficially, that is, as a tourist, out of pure curiosity.
Giza
Giza je treći po veličini grad u Egiptu nakon Kaira i Aleksandrije. Nalazi se na zapadnoj obali Nila nasuprot centralnom Kairu, i deo je metropole Velikog Kaira.
Giza je najpoznatija po platou, lokaciji nekih od najimpresivnijih drevnih spomenika na svetu, uključujući kompleks drevnih egipatskih kraljevskih grobnica i svetih građevina, među kojima su Velika Sfinga, Velika piramida u Gizi, i niz drugih velikih piramida i hramova.
Giza
Giza is the third-largest city in Egypt after Cairo and Alexandria. It is located on the west bank of the Nile opposite central Cairo, and is a part of the Greater Cairo metropolis.
Giza is most famous as the location of the Giza Plateau, the site of some of the most impressive ancient monuments in the world, including a complex of ancient Egyptian royal mortuary and sacred structures, among which are the Great Sphinx, the Great Pyramid of Giza, and a number of other large pyramids and temples.
