Tanah Lot means "Land [in the] Sea" in the Balinese language.

At the base of the rocky island, venomous sea snakes are believed to guard the temple from evil spirits and intruders.

Veruje se da zmije otrovnice cuvaju hram od zlih duhova I provalnika.

Taman Ayun Temple or Mengwi Royal Temple, Mengwi

 

Hindu Temple, 17th century.

The word Ahyun comes from the root word Hyun. It means a temple in a park with a pool and a beautiful garden which can fulfill wishes.

The function of Taman Ayun Temple is a place to pray to the god in their manifestation.

It is one of the most important Temple for the Balinese, especially for Hindus. It consists of five compounds of temples and one Buddhist Stupa.
